We all need a little sunshine...

especially plants! You may have heard that plants make their own food (glucose) from sunlight, but how exactly does that happen?? Today we will be exploring the science of photosynthesis.

By the end of class today you should be able to explain in words the photosynthesis chemical reaction, and describe the two major steps to photosynthesis, including the light reaction and dark reaction.

We will start class today by working as partners to complete an initial model. We will be thinking about the question; "where does the mass of plants come from?" Then we will have a class discussion and take notes on the process of photosynthesis, and add to our model by asking each other questions at the end of class.
