2/8: Beamer Data Analysis

Welcome to Unit 4!

CER DUE 2/12

Before we dive into the science of cells next week, we're going to spend a day analyzing data from our school. We are going to work independently and in groups to understand sets of data, explain it in our own words, and come up with ideas for what our school community can be doing better.

We will be exploring data that are connected to our academic culture, which is the attitudes, behaviors, and values that are shared by a school community.

After our data analysis, you will complete the assignment by writing a CER (claim / evidence /reasoning) paragraph.

CER Instructions:

Your CER paragraph should be five sentences long.

Claim (1 sentence): In your own words, what should we do as a community to improve our academic culture?

Evidence (2 sentences): Provide at least two strong pieces of evidence from our class data set that support your claim.

Reasoning (2 sentences): Connect the evidence to your claim. How do these facts support your argument?
