We talk a lot about DNA in this class, but what exactly is DNA, and how does it determine our traits?
Today we will study the structure and function of DNA (what it is made of, and how it works). By the end of class you should understand the main parts of the DNA molecule including the sugar-phosphate backbone and four bases A, G, T, and C. We will also practice matching DNA bases by constructing a paper model using our baby Reebop's genotypes!
DNA Decoder: If you did not make a baby Reebop before break, please use the genotype "AABbcc" for your DNA decoder. This activity might be a little confusing if you weren't in class to see the example, so if you have any questions please come see me during lunch or after school so I can help you with it!
