Today we will start looking closely at what is IN the food that we eat each day. Students will create a menu of the foods they eat in a typical day, and use www.CalorieKing.com to find out about those foods. You'll identify calories, and the top nutrients, including proteins, fats, and carbs. Finally, we will take a poll to see what type of nutrient we eat most often throughout the day. By the end of the day you will also be able to explain what a calorie is.
