If you were in class on 1/8 when we learned about DNA but you need some review, this is the right assignment for you! If you were not in class last time, please click here to go to the mild WebQuest first. If this is too easy for you, then click here to go to the spicy WebQuest instead.
You should have the yellow packet. Make sure you turn in your work by the end of class! Complete as much as you can. As long as the sub says that you are focused and working respectfully during class, you will not get marked down if you don't completely finish.
Start by watching this video - it will help you to review some of the basic information we learned last class about the structure and function of DNA. You will also learn some new information about how DNA replicates, or makes copies of itself.
Answer all the questions on your packet as you watch. Feel free to pause or go back and rewatch this movie until you feel confident with how DNA works!
If you chose the medium WebQuest, you will need a little more time on matching DNA strands. This game will help you practice! Click on this link to get to the Double Helix Game. You may need to click on the address again to redirect there. It does work!
Click on this link to watch Bill Nye's movie on the history of DNA, and answer the remaining questions on your worksheet.
