Of course you already know that we MUST breathe in order to survive, but why is that exactly? Today we are going to take a close look at an important chemical reaction that is happening inside of our cells - Cellular Respiration. This will help you to understand how exactly our cells are able to use the energy in the glucose that we eat.
By the end of class today you should be able to explain what cellular respiration is, and the step-by-step process (inputs, uses, and outputs).
We will practice the basics of cellular respiration by exploring a murder mystery, based on a true crime that occurred in 1982 where several people were killed by taking poisoned Tylenol pills. Use your knowledge of cellular respiration to explain the science behind this unsolved crime!
THE TYLENOL MURDER MYSTERY IS DUE FOR A GRADE BY 4/18! You should have plenty of time to complete it during class today if you are focused.

This is a simple, step-by-step worksheet to help you solidify your understanding of cellular respiration. This is great practice if you're still feeling unsure of what cellular respiration is, or what happens in the process.
